Greetings!

Hello there!  Aaron here.  With our move to the other side of the country coming up and all I thought it might be about time to start a family blog.  So here it is! :)  Only 14 days until the big move!  Wow!  So many things have happened over the last few years in each of our lives.

It has already been a year since I graduated from college.  In July our sweet little Rylen will be 1 year old. :)  And in August April and I will have been married for 4 years and we (April that is) will be having our second child.  Our precious little girl, Aletheia Christin, I am so excited to welcome her into the world.  We are really hoping that Rylen will understand who she is and that he'll quickly decide that he is okay with not getting all of the attention anymore (I am sure he will still get plenty though! ;).  Over the last four years we have lived 6 different places and have gone through 4 different cars (now we are happily driving our 2005 Toyota Matrix, which we will hopefully own after 1 more year of payments, and we are very happy with how economic, comfortable and safe it is!).

One of the hardest parts of leaving California will be to leave behind all of my family and to leave behind a Church that both of us have been tremendously blessed to be part of and to serve in.  On the other side of things we are delighted that we will now be near to almost all of April's family, and as we search and pray for a new Church we trust that God will provide just the perfect congregation that is blessed by us, and that we need to continuing growing in grace.

Our current plan for the move is that our belongings will be picked up by movers on May 7th, after which April and I will depart by car for a 4 day (or so) road trip across the states.  We will leave Rylen with my parents and I will return for him by plan with April's mom after we arrive.  We are really nervous about leaving our only little boy for this long, but as we do not want April to be flying this far along in the pregnancy, and predicting sure and certain misery and a prolonged time on the road by taking Rylen on the road trip with us, thus our current course of plan unfolds.  But we are very confident in my parents capable and loving hands to watch over him and hope they are able to enjoy this last special time together (for right now).  We are also very excited for this road trip and the special time we will have together while driving to get to know each other even better and to talk about spiritual things and to plan (the best we can) what to prioritize in this next phase of our lives.

So about the house (for those of you who do not know we made an offer on a quaint little 3 bedroom house in Plymouth, NC, which was excepted), we are still waiting on some final paperwork to be processed for the loan but will hopeful know for sure by next week that everything has gone through.  We are very excited about the idea of having a home to make our own and to have guest in and all.  We both are praying that the loans will indeed go through and that this home will be a blessing to our family and to others.  We are also praying that our hearts do not go to this home in the wrong way that while we are thankful and excited we'll remember that this world is not our home, and that with Christ it doesn't matter where we live and that all these things are temporary anyway.  On the financial side of things getting into this house seems like a wise move to us and it will greatly put us on track.  Our monthly payments for a 3 bedroom home on almost a half an acre of land will be almost half of what we are currently paying for a 1 bedroom apartment.

April is still doing transcription work from home and this (with the blessing of God) has mostly supported us these last few years.  God has greatly blessed her labor and I am very thankful for her (she is an amazingly organized and hard worker)!  I have had all kinds of part time jobs during school and since graduation but for the last 3 or 4 months have been primarily a stay at home dad.  This arrangement has been an interesting experience for all of us and it has been a great blessing also.  Right now I am looking into to starting a small business so that April can stop working after the 2nd baby comes.  I am excited to see how this goes and will tell you all more about it as it develops.  If this doesn't work out hopefully I can find a job in the midst of this economy that can bring in the income that April has been bringing in.  We both know that God has all of these matters well planned out as well and we are excited to see how they unfold.

And right now, I have to go get Rylen up from his nap and start working on some supper.  Until the next time you here form one of us, we love you and pray that may know what is the riches of the grace and love of Christ toward you!

Resting in His Unfailing Love,
Aaron (for the gang)
